Synopsis

Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group has partnered with Marriott International to develop a 200-room luxury hotel under the W Hotels brand near Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The project, with an estimated investment of INR 400 crore, is scheduled to open in the second half of 2027 and will mark the debut of the W Hotels brand in Delhi-NCR. Located close to Aerocity, the development is aimed at serving business and leisure travellers. The project forms part of DS Group's broader hospitality expansion strategy, under which it plans to double its room inventory by 2029 and invest around INR 1,000 crore across new hospitality developments.

Dharampal Satyapal (DS) Group has announced a partnership with Marriott International to develop a 200-room luxury hotel under the W Hotels brand near Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. The project, announced in the past week, involves an estimated investment of INR 400 crore and is scheduled to commence operations during the second half of 2027.
The hotel will be located close to Aerocity, one of the National Capital Region's established hospitality and commercial districts, catering to both business and leisure travellers. According to the companies, the development will mark the entry of the W Hotels brand into the Delhi-NCR market and become the second W Hotels property in India after Goa.
The planned hotel will be developed as a luxury lifestyle property featuring 200 guest rooms and facilities aligned with Marriott International's global W Hotels brand. The companies stated that the project has been designed to target evolving demand within the premium hospitality segment in the National Capital Region.
Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar said DS Group views the project as part of its long-term strategy to strengthen its hospitality business. He noted that the Indian hospitality sector continues to witness growth in domestic travel while premium hotel supply remains limited relative to demand. He added that establishing a W Hotels property in Delhi aligns with the group's objective of expanding its presence in the luxury hospitality segment.
Nathan Andrews, Business Head – Hospitality at DS Group, said the project forms part of the company's target of operating between 10 and 12 hotels by FY29. He stated that Aerocity continues to record strong demand and revenue performance, making it an appropriate location for the brand's expansion into the Delhi-NCR market.
Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International, said the agreement supports Marriott's ongoing expansion strategy in India and reflects the company's focus on broadening its luxury hospitality portfolio through partnerships with established domestic developers.
According to the companies, the hotel will incorporate the W Hotels brand's design-led approach alongside social and lifestyle-oriented spaces, including signature public areas intended for leisure and guest engagement.
The project is part of DS Group's wider hospitality expansion programme. The company has stated that it plans to invest approximately INR 1,000 crore in the hospitality sector over the next few years, with the objective of doubling its existing room inventory by 2029. The planned expansion will focus on luxury and mid-scale hotels across Tier I and Tier II cities.
DS Group currently operates six hospitality properties, including Namah Nainital, Namah Jim Corbett, Radisson Blu Guwahati, InterContinental Jaipur, Renaissance Bengaluru and Holiday Inn Express Kolkata, while continuing to expand its presence within the Indian hospitality sector through partnerships with international hotel operators.
