Air India Express has fully restored its flight operations to West Asia after regional airspace conditions stabilised. Services to destinations including the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Muscat have resumed according to schedule. The airline said the restoration follows the easing of operational disruptions caused by recent geopolitical tensions. With services returning to normal, Air India Express expects improved connectivity for passengers travelling between India and key West Asian markets.
Air India Express has resumed its full flight schedule to West Asia following the stabilisation of regional airspace conditions, restoring connectivity across one of its largest international networks.
The airline announced that operations to all destinations in West Asia have returned to normal after temporary disruptions caused by geopolitical developments in the region. Flight schedules to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have been reinstated, allowing passengers to travel according to the airline's regular timetable.
The restoration comes after several days of operational adjustments during which airlines operating in the region had modified flight schedules, rerouted aircraft and, in some cases, temporarily suspended services due to airspace restrictions and safety considerations. As conditions improved and authorities reopened affected airspace, Air India Express progressively resumed its scheduled operations.
West Asia represents one of the airline's most important international markets, serving a large number of Indian expatriates, business travellers and tourists. The airline operates an extensive network connecting multiple Indian cities with destinations across the Gulf region, making the restoration significant for passenger movement and regional connectivity.
Air India Express stated that it has resumed normal services while continuing to monitor the operational environment closely. The airline noted that passenger safety remains its highest priority and that flight operations will continue to follow advisories issued by aviation authorities and relevant government agencies.
The restoration of services is expected to reduce travel disruptions experienced by passengers during the period of restricted operations. Customers who had postponed travel or experienced schedule changes can now access the airline's regular network across West Asia.
The development also supports cargo movement between India and the Gulf region, where Air India Express carries both passenger baggage and commercial cargo on scheduled flights. The resumption of normal operations is expected to improve the movement of time-sensitive shipments and strengthen trade connectivity between the two regions.
Industry observers note that airlines continue to monitor geopolitical developments closely, particularly on international routes that depend on access to regional airspace. Carriers remain prepared to make operational adjustments if required, while maintaining compliance with safety directives issued by aviation regulators.
With services now fully restored, Air India Express is expected to continue operating its planned schedule across West Asia during the peak travel season. The airline has advised passengers to check the latest flight information through its official communication channels before travel, although operations are currently running according to schedule.
