Frasers Property has announced the appointment of Tan Wee Hsien as the CEO designate of Frasers Property Singapore, marking a planned leadership transition for its Singapore operations. Tan will join the company on September 8, 2026, before officially assuming the role of Chief Executive Officer on October 1, 2026, succeeding Soon Su Lin.
Soon Su Lin will step down as CEO after leading the Singapore business since 2022. Following the transition, she will take on the role of adviser to Group CEO Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, supporting the group's leadership while continuing as a director on the boards of One Bangkok Co. and Frasers Centrepoint Asset Management, the manager of Frasers Centrepoint Trust.
Tan joins Frasers Property from CapitaLand Development, where he currently serves as CEO for Vietnam and International. He has close to 30 years of experience in the real estate sector across the Asia-Pacific region. During his career, he has held senior leadership positions at CapitaLand Development, MCL Land and Hongkong Land, overseeing investments, strategic planning, development and expansion across multiple property segments.
In his new role, Tan will oversee the strategic direction, investments, operations and development management of Frasers Property Singapore's retail, commercial, residential and mixed-use portfolio. The company said the succession process has been planned to ensure continuity for its business, customers and partners.
The leadership change follows other recent strategic moves by Frasers Property, including the restructuring of its hospitality portfolio and broader efforts to strengthen its operating model and leadership team. The group, which has a diversified real estate portfolio across Asia, Australia and Europe, has been focusing on disciplined capital deployment, portfolio optimisation and long-term growth across its key markets.
