Synopsis

Serentica Renewables has announced plans to invest INR 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan over the coming years to strengthen its renewable energy footprint in the state. The company has already deployed more than INR 10,000 crore and is expanding its portfolio across key solar hubs, including Bikaner, Jaisalmer and the upcoming Bhadla project. Rajasthan currently contributes more than half of Serentica's total solar portfolio, supporting the company's broader plan to develop a 27,000 MW renewable energy pipeline focused on supplying reliable clean power to energy-intensive industries.

Serentica Renewables has announced plans to invest INR 1 lakh crore in Rajasthan over the coming years as it expands its clean energy portfolio in one of India's largest renewable energy markets. The company has already invested more than INR 10,000 crore in the state, reflecting its long-term commitment to developing large-scale renewable energy infrastructure.
The investment forms part of Serentica's strategy to provide firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) solutions to hard-to-abate industries, including sectors such as metals and manufacturing, which require reliable round-the-clock clean power. The company's approach combines large-scale renewable energy generation with dependable power supply while keeping costs competitive.
Rajasthan currently accounts for more than 50% of Serentica Renewables' overall solar portfolio. Its major operational assets are located in Bikaner and Jaisalmer, while the next phase of expansion is planned at Bhadla, one of India's largest solar parks. These projects are part of the company's planned renewable energy pipeline of 27,000 MW.
The company has been steadily expanding its renewable energy capacity across India to support industrial decarbonisation. Its focus remains on supplying clean electricity to commercial and industrial consumers through large-scale solar and wind projects supported by energy storage and other technologies that improve power reliability.
The latest investment announcement further strengthens Rajasthan's position as a key renewable energy destination. The state has attracted significant investments in recent years due to its vast solar and wind resources, supportive policy framework and availability of land for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
