NAREDCO Maharashtra and NAREDCO Pune supported a felicitation ceremony for successful UPSC candidates in Mumbai, reaffirming their focus on youth development and leadership initiatives. Organised jointly with Yuva Utthan Foundation at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre, Nariman Point, the event recognised the achievements of civil services aspirants and highlighted the role of public service in nation-building. The programme brought together senior political leaders, government officials, industry representatives and members of the administrative services. NAREDCO Maharashtra, which has supported the initiative for the past four years, said it plans to expand its education and youth empowerment programmes under its corporate social responsibility initiatives, with a focus on encouraging future generations to pursue careers in governance and public administration.
NAREDCO Maharashtra and NAREDCO Pune participated in a felicitation ceremony for successful Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) candidates in Mumbai, continuing their support for initiatives aimed at youth empowerment and leadership development.
The event, organised jointly with Yuva Utthan Foundation, was held at the Yashwantrao Chavan Centre in Nariman Point and brought together representatives from government, administration, industry and academia to recognise the achievements of candidates who successfully cleared one of India’s most competitive examinations.
According to the organisers, NAREDCO Maharashtra has been supporting the initiative for the past four years as part of its efforts to encourage young individuals pursuing careers in public administration and governance. The programme was designed to acknowledge the dedication, discipline and commitment demonstrated by successful UPSC candidates while motivating future aspirants preparing for the civil services examination.
The ceremony was attended by several senior dignitaries, including Member of Parliament and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Narayan Rane, Maharashtra Legislative Council member Satyajeet Tambe, NAREDCO Maharashtra Chairman Emeritus Dr Niranjan Hiranandani, MHADA Vice President and Chief Executive Officer Sanjeev Jaiswal, Additional GST Commissioner Mallinath Jeure and Mumbai Additional Commissioner of Police Mokshada Patil.
Addressing the gathering, NAREDCO Maharashtra President Kamlesh Thakur stated that the UPSC examination represented one of the country's highest standards of merit and public service commitment. He noted that recognising successful candidates was an investment in India’s future leadership and said such initiatives were intended to encourage more young people to contribute to governance, policymaking and national development.
Dr Niranjan Hiranandani observed that the achievements of the candidates reflected not only academic performance but also resilience, discipline and a sense of responsibility towards society. He stated that capable and ethical administrators would play an important role in supporting India's long-term development and transformation.
NAREDCO Maharashtra Founder Rajan Bandelkar said the accomplishments of UPSC aspirants highlighted the potential of India’s youth and their commitment to public service. He noted that recognising such achievements could encourage future generations to consider careers in governance and public administration.
The programme served as a platform for acknowledging the efforts of successful candidates while also providing encouragement to thousands of aspirants preparing for future UPSC examinations.
NAREDCO Maharashtra stated that it intends to continue supporting initiatives related to education, leadership development and youth empowerment through its corporate social responsibility programmes. The organisation also indicated that it plans to undertake larger initiatives in the future and collaborate with corporate entities and industry stakeholders to support aspiring civil servants and future public sector leaders across the country.
