Synopsis

DTDC Express has introduced a self-onboarding digital platform designed to simplify and speed up logistics registration for businesses. The system allows companies to complete KYC, register, and start shipping within 10 minutes without manual intervention. Launched earlier this week, the platform targets the growing MSME and D2C segments, which require faster and more efficient logistics solutions. The initiative aims to reduce traditional onboarding delays caused by documentation and operational dependencies. With strong early adoption, the platform has already attracted over 22,000 registrations and onboarded more than 5,000 businesses across multiple regions in India.

Logistics company DTDC Express introduced a new self-onboarding digital platform earlier this week, aimed at enabling businesses to register, complete KYC, and begin shipping in under 10 minutes without manual processing. The initiative has been developed to support the expanding MSME and D2C ecosystem, where speed and ease of access to logistics services have become important for business growth.
The platform, named EDOT (Enterprise Digital Onboarding Technology), has been designed to remove long-standing operational challenges in the onboarding process. Traditionally, businesses had to go through extensive documentation, multiple dependencies, and longer activation timelines before gaining access to organised logistics services. The new system shifts this process to a fully digital model, reducing delays and simplifying the overall onboarding journey.
According to the company, the rapid growth of digital commerce platforms has increased the number of emerging businesses that require quick access to logistics infrastructure. It noted that simplifying onboarding is essential for enabling these businesses to scale efficiently and manage fulfilment operations from the beginning of their operations.
Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO of DTDC Express, stated that India’s MSME and D2C ecosystem is expanding at a strong pace, and businesses now require speed, simplicity, and scalability to remain competitive. He added that onboarding into logistics services should not be complex or time-consuming, and the company has used technology to reduce friction from the initial stage of the logistics process.
The company further said that by reducing onboarding complexities, it is helping businesses start operations faster, improve fulfilment processes from day one, and access enterprise-grade logistics infrastructure with greater ease and flexibility.
The platform has already recorded strong adoption, with more than 22,000 registrations and over 5,000 businesses completing self-onboarding. The company highlighted that usage is not limited to metropolitan regions and is also expanding into Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
It added that the platform now covers more than 2,200 pin codes across the country, with growing participation from smaller cities where access to organised logistics solutions has historically been limited or fragmented.
