Agro Chem Federation of India organised an awareness and interaction programme in Chandigarh aimed at strengthening collaboration between the agrochemical industry and agri-input distribution networks to promote sustainable and scientific agricultural practices.
The programme, held on Friday, was attended by agri dealers, distributors, retailers, field advisors and sales and marketing professionals from Punjab and Haryana involved across the agricultural value chain.
Organised under the theme “Strengthening Dealer Industry Partnership for Sustainable Agriculture”, the event focused on issues including responsible product usage, farmer awareness, stewardship initiatives and safe agricultural practices amid evolving regulatory and compliance requirements within the agrochemical sector.
According to the organisers, the discussions also covered prevention of counterfeit agricultural products, best practices for responsible agri-input retailing, productivity enhancement measures and environmentally sustainable farming approaches.

He stated that the programme focused on improving farmer trust through responsible advisory practices, countering misinformation related to pesticide usage, strengthening coordination between industry stakeholders and distribution channels, and enhancing awareness initiatives at the grassroots level.
The event also highlighted the increasing importance of collaboration between agrochemical companies and channel partners in supporting long-term agricultural sustainability and compliance with stewardship and regulatory frameworks.

Discussions additionally focused on improving farmer-level awareness regarding safe handling, dosage management and compliance with approved agricultural practices.
Participants at the programme stated that dealers, distributors and industry stakeholders would collectively work towards promoting safer and more responsible use of agrochemical products while supporting agricultural productivity and farmer welfare.
The event comes amid increasing policy and industry focus on sustainable agriculture, food security, environmental protection and regulated use of crop protection products across India’s agricultural sector.
