The Bihar government has instructed the Bihar Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to accelerate the disposal of pending cases and reinforce transparency measures in the state's real estate sector, as part of efforts to improve regulatory efficiency and strengthen homebuyer confidence. 
During a review meeting attended by officials from the Urban Development and Housing Department, Bihar RERA representatives and industry stakeholders, Housing Minister Jibesh Kumar emphasised the importance of timely resolution of disputes and strict adherence to regulatory norms. The minister reviewed the functioning of the authority and assessed the status of complaints, project registrations and compliance mechanisms. 
According to information emerging from multiple reports, the minister expressed concern over delays in the disposal of certain cases and directed officials to ensure that grievances filed by homebuyers are addressed within a reasonable timeframe. He underscored the role of RERA in protecting consumer interests and maintaining discipline within the real estate sector. 
The meeting also focused on improving transparency in project execution and information disclosure. Developers were urged to comply fully with registration requirements and regularly update project details on the RERA portal to ensure that prospective buyers have access to accurate information.
