Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd has inaugurated its second global head office in Schwalbach am Taunus, near Frankfurt, Germany, marking a significant step in the company's international expansion following its acquisition of the Heubach Group in March 2025. The new office was inaugurated on 9 June and will function alongside the company's existing global headquarters in Pune.
The new facility spans nearly 21,000 sq ft and has been established to support the company's integrated global operations. Located approximately 11 km from Sudarshan's production site at Industriepark Höchst, the office has been designed as an open-plan workspace to facilitate collaboration among teams across different geographies and business functions.
According to the company, the office has been leased under Sudarshan Germany Horizons GmbH, its German operating entity. The establishment of a second global head office reflects the company's strategy of strengthening its presence in Europe following the integration of the Heubach Group into its operations.
Rajesh Rathi, Global Chairman and Managing Director of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd, stated that the Frankfurt office represents the importance of Germany and Europe in the company's long-term global growth strategy. He indicated that the new facility reflects the scale and direction of the company's future expansion plans.
Dr Klaus-Dieter Baumgart, Chief Technology Officer of Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd and Managing Director of Sudarshan Germany Horizons GmbH, said Frankfurt has long been central to the company's global operations and that the new office provides a foundation for the next phase of its activities in Germany.
The inauguration follows the acquisition of the Heubach Group earlier in 2025, a transaction that expanded Sudarshan's global footprint and manufacturing capabilities. With the integration, the company now operates across more than 120 countries and serves over 4,000 customers worldwide.
Sudarshan Chemical stated that its combined operations are supported by 19 manufacturing and research and development sites globally, reflecting a combined heritage of more than 270 years in pigment manufacturing. The company produces a portfolio of organic, inorganic and pearlescent pigments used across industries including coatings, plastics, inks and cosmetics.
Headquartered in Pune and now also in Frankfurt through its second global head office, Sudarshan Chemical continues to strengthen its international presence while expanding its operational and technological capabilities across key global markets.
