The Government of Kerala, through Infoparks Kerala, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Inductus Group to strengthen the state’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) and information technology ecosystem. The partnership aims to position Kerala as a preferred destination for multinational corporations seeking to establish development centres and GCC operations in India. The collaboration will focus on promoting the state’s talent base, digital infrastructure, innovation ecosystem and business environment to global enterprises. The agreement follows strategic initiatives led by the state’s Electronics and Information Technology Department to attract large and mid-sized multinational companies. The partnership is expected to support investment inflows, generate employment opportunities and reinforce Kerala’s position within India’s expanding GCC landscape.
The Government of Kerala has entered into a strategic partnership with Inductus Group to strengthen the state’s Global Capability Centre (GCC) and information technology ecosystem, as part of broader efforts to attract multinational investment and expand technology-led economic activity.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Infoparks Kerala, the state’s apex IT infrastructure agency, and Inductus Group, a global GCC enablement and IT consulting firm. The agreement was executed by Susanth Kurunthil, Chief Executive Officer of Infoparks Kerala, and Alouk Kumar, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Inductus Group.
The collaboration is intended to enhance Kerala’s visibility among multinational corporations evaluating locations for establishing development centres, technology hubs and GCC operations. State authorities have been actively promoting Kerala’s capabilities in technology, innovation and talent development to attract investments from global businesses seeking to expand their operations in India.
The partnership follows strategic discussions led by Seeram Sambasiva Rao, IAS, Special Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology Department, Government of Kerala, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Infoparks Kerala. The initiative seeks to leverage Kerala’s competitive advantages, including its skilled workforce, educational institutions, digital infrastructure and quality of life.
Under the agreement, Infoparks Kerala and Inductus Group will work together to strengthen engagement with multinational enterprises and showcase opportunities available within the state’s technology ecosystem. The collaboration is expected to support efforts to attract both large and mid-sized multinational corporations seeking locations for technology development, innovation and business operations.
Alouk Kumar stated that Kerala possesses several characteristics increasingly sought by global organisations evaluating locations for GCC operations. He noted that the state offers a highly skilled talent pool, strong educational foundations, digital readiness and a supportive business environment. He added that the partnership would focus on creating greater awareness of Kerala’s capabilities and facilitating engagement between international enterprises and the state’s technology sector.
The agreement comes at a time when the GCC sector is evolving beyond traditional shared services operations and increasingly encompasses functions related to innovation, digital transformation, research and advanced technologies. As organisations seek locations capable of supporting future-focused business operations, states with strong infrastructure and talent ecosystems are attracting greater attention from global investors.
Officials indicated that the initiative aligns with wider national efforts to strengthen India’s position as a leading destination for GCC investments. Companies establishing such centres typically assess locations based on talent availability, operational efficiency, infrastructure readiness and long-term scalability.
Kerala’s expanding technology infrastructure, strong literacy levels and institutional support mechanisms are expected to play an important role in attracting investment from global enterprises. Through the partnership, Infoparks Kerala and Inductus Group aim to facilitate new investment opportunities, support the growth of the state’s knowledge economy and strengthen Kerala’s standing as a destination for technology-driven and innovation-led business operations.
