Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has invited venture capitalists and startup investors to explore business opportunities in the state, highlighting its growing industrial base, policy support and innovation-driven ecosystem. Speaking at a roundtable during his ongoing visit to Singapore, he said the state is focused on strengthening manufacturing, technology and entrepreneurship through structured initiatives like the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub and land pooling model. He also outlined Andhra Pradesh’s efforts in natural farming, education partnerships and industrial development, while engaging with global investors to expand cooperation across key sectors.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday urged venture capitalists and startup investors to consider investment opportunities in the state, pointing to its expanding industrial environment, policy reforms and focus on innovation-led growth.
During his ongoing two-day visit to Singapore, Naidu is scheduled to hold meetings with government representatives, industry leaders and investors. The discussions are aimed at attracting investments and exploring partnerships across infrastructure, technology, manufacturing, education, and skill development sectors in Andhra Pradesh.
A roundtable session held during the visit was attended by the Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Shilpak Ambule, Municipal Minister P Narayana, and several Singapore-based startup venture capitalists.
Naidu stated that it is an appropriate time to set up industrial projects in Andhra Pradesh and encouraged investors to participate actively. He also highlighted opportunities for venture capitalists to support startups being developed through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub, which is positioned as a key platform for innovation in the state.
He further said India is emerging as one of the fastest-growing major economies, supported by reforms and policy measures under the central government. He added that the country is advancing in manufacturing high-end equipment, including medical technology products, and is also exporting electronics to global markets. He noted India’s growing capabilities in advanced manufacturing, including defence-related equipment, and emphasized the advantage of a large youth workforce.
Outlining Andhra Pradesh’s industrial approach, Naidu referred to the “One Family, One Entrepreneur” initiative aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and manufacturing at the grassroots level. He also explained that the state is offering land for projects through a land pooling model, which has also supported the development of the Amaravati capital region.
He pointed out that the government has already provided land and fast-tracked approvals for major projects involving companies such as Google and ArcelorMittal, while industrial zones like Sri City continue to attract significant investments.
Naidu also highlighted the integration of technology in governance and public services, along with the investment opportunities emerging through the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub. He encouraged venture capital participation in sectors such as robotics, medical devices, hardware, and electronics manufacturing, stating that the youth in Andhra Pradesh are prepared to meet workforce requirements, including those of Singapore’s technology sector.
During the discussions, Shilpak Ambule explained Singapore’s strong economic and trade relationship with India and discussed opportunities for deeper engagement with Andhra Pradesh. Naidu, in response, said Singapore should play an important role in the state’s development journey and encouraged Singapore-based companies to invest more actively in the region.
He also highlighted progress in natural farming in Andhra Pradesh, noting that farmers have adopted natural farming practices across two million acres and are producing high-quality, export-ready agricultural and horticultural products.
Naidu further proposed stronger collaboration between universities in Singapore and educational institutions in Andhra Pradesh to improve higher education and skill development frameworks.
He added that India’s economic transformation is being driven by faster decision-making in governance and reduced delays in administrative processes for development projects and investments.
Singapore representatives noted their strength in green energy and semiconductor ecosystem development and expressed interest in working with Indian states, including Andhra Pradesh. They also assured continued support for investment-related cooperation in the state.
