The newly opened property comprises 162 keys and is located in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a city that has witnessed increasing tourism activity driven by religious travel and infrastructure development. The launch forms part of IHCL’s strategy to strengthen its presence in key leisure, pilgrimage and cultural destinations across the country.
Ayodhyam, Ayodhya has been introduced under the SeleQtions brand, which focuses on distinctive hotels designed to reflect the character and heritage of their respective locations. Deepika Rao, Executive Vice President – New Businesses and Hotel Openings at IHCL, stated that spiritual tourism continues to maintain strong momentum across India, with Ayodhya emerging as one of the country’s most significant religious destinations. She indicated that Ayodhyam, Ayodhya under the SeleQtions brand has been developed to address this growing demand while offering a hospitality experience that reflects the city’s spiritual and cultural importance.
According to the company, the hotel has been designed to align with the evolving preferences of modern travellers while drawing inspiration from the identity of the destination. The property is expected to serve visitors seeking accommodation within proximity to Ayodhya’s religious and cultural landmarks.
Ayodhya has become a focal point for hospitality investments as tourism-related demand continues to rise. Hotel operators have increasingly expanded their presence in the city in anticipation of sustained growth in visitor arrivals and supporting infrastructure development.
