Prestige Group and Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) have announced a large mixed-use development within Bengaluru Airport City that will combine business, hospitality, cultural and lifestyle offerings in a single integrated ecosystem. The project will be anchored by a convention and exhibition centre and will also include luxury hotels, office space, retail and food and beverage facilities. With an estimated investment of around INR 1,800 crore, the development is expected to strengthen Bengaluru’s position as a major business and tourism destination while supporting economic activity and employment growth in the rapidly developing airport corridor.
Prestige Group and Bengaluru Airport City Limited (BACL) have announced plans for a landmark integrated destination within Bengaluru Airport City, bringing together business, hospitality, culture and entertainment facilities in a single development. The project marks a significant addition to the growing Airport City ecosystem being developed around Bengaluru’s international airport.
The development will be centred around a state-of-the-art convention and exhibition centre and is designed as a mixed-use hub that combines commercial, hospitality and cultural infrastructure. Planned components include luxury hotels under the St. Regis and Marriott Marquis brands, premium office spaces, curated food and beverage offerings, retail facilities and a performing arts venue.
According to reports, Prestige Group is expected to invest around INR 1,800 crore in the project. The development will span approximately 1.5 million square feet and is intended to serve a wide range of users, including global travellers, event organisers, corporations, visitors and local residents.
The hospitality component will include around 800 hotel keys, comprising a 600-key Marriott Marquis hotel and a 200-key St. Regis hotel. The convention centre is expected to become one of the region’s major venues for international conferences, exhibitions, corporate events and cultural programmes.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2027, while the project is targeted for inauguration in the first quarter of 2031. The development will be located within Bengaluru Airport City, a large mixed-use urban district being developed by Bengaluru Airport City Limited, the development arm of Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL).
The announcement comes as North Bengaluru continues to attract significant investment driven by airport-led infrastructure growth, commercial expansion and improved connectivity. Airport City has been planned as a major business and economic hub with office districts, hospitality assets, retail spaces, healthcare facilities and entertainment infrastructure forming part of its long-term vision.
Company executives indicated that the project is aimed at creating a destination that combines business, hospitality and cultural experiences while supporting Bengaluru’s role as a global gateway city. The development is also expected to contribute to business tourism, investment activity and employment generation in the airport corridor.
