APCRDA Additional Commissioner Kollabathula Karthik visited Undavalli in the Amaravati capital region over the weekend to review proposed road widening works and assess infrastructure requirements in the village.
The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), in coordination with other government departments, has prepared plans to widen roads at key junctions in Undavalli to improve connectivity and traffic movement in the area. As part of the exercise, Karthik, accompanied by CRDA Special Deputy Collector A.G. Chinnikrishna, inspected multiple locations identified for the project.
The officials also visited residential properties situated close to the proposed road expansion stretches to understand site conditions and assess the impact of the planned works. The inspection formed part of the broader efforts being undertaken to strengthen road infrastructure in the Amaravati region, where several connectivity and development projects are being planned and executed.
During the visit, a number of villagers and farmers met the Additional Commissioner and highlighted issues affecting the local community. Residents raised concerns related to village infrastructure and other local matters, seeking timely intervention from the authorities.
Responding to the concerns, Karthik assured residents that the issues raised by the people of Undavalli would be taken up on a priority basis and necessary measures would be initiated to address them. Officials also interacted with local stakeholders during the inspection to gather feedback and better understand the requirements of the area.
Road widening at important junctions is expected to support smoother traffic flow and improve accessibility within Undavalli, which is part of the larger Amaravati capital region development framework.
