Synopsis

Anaplan has introduced a suite of artificial intelligence-powered planning solutions in India, including Anaplan CoModeler, Custom Analyst and Agent Studio, alongside 12 new enterprise applications designed for finance, supply chain, sales, IT and human resources functions. Announced in Mumbai, the rollout aims to help organisations move away from disconnected planning systems by integrating operational and financial decision-making on a unified platform. The company said the new offerings combine large language model capabilities with deterministic planning and analytics tools to provide traceable and auditable business insights. The launch comes as Indian enterprises accelerate AI adoption and seek tools that can improve forecasting, resource allocation, financial planning and operational efficiency across multiple business functions.

Anaplan has launched a new set of artificial intelligence-powered planning and decision-making tools in India, expanding its enterprise software portfolio as organisations increasingly seek integrated platforms to manage business operations, financial planning and scenario analysis. The announcement was made in Mumbai earlier this month and includes the introduction of Anaplan CoModeler, Custom Analyst and Agent Studio, as well as 12 new purpose-built enterprise applications.
The company said the new products are designed to embed AI directly into enterprise planning processes, allowing organisations to improve decision-making speed while maintaining visibility over financial and operational outcomes. The launch reflects growing demand among Indian enterprises for planning systems that can connect finance, supply chain, workforce and sales functions through a common platform.
According to Anaplan, its platform combines the conversational capabilities of large language models with a deterministic planning engine capable of producing traceable and auditable calculations. The company stated that the approach enables organisations to evaluate different business scenarios while maintaining confidence in the accuracy of forecasts and operational models.
Amit Bagga, Managing Director, Asia-Pacific at Anaplan, said businesses across the region were facing increasing pressure to adopt AI-driven technologies. He noted that organisations required systems capable of producing mathematically precise and reliable outcomes rather than merely generating conversational responses. He added that the platform was designed to connect operational decisions with their financial implications, helping companies assess the impact of decisions before implementation.
Among the newly introduced products is Anaplan CoModeler, an AI-powered assistant developed for planning architects and model builders. The tool is intended to help users create, extend and optimise planning models more efficiently. The company also launched Custom Analyst and Agent Studio, which enable organisations to develop and deploy customised AI assistants aligned with specific business requirements while maintaining governance and oversight.
Alongside these AI capabilities, Anaplan unveiled 12 out-of-the-box applications covering finance, supply chain, retail, human resources, sales and information technology functions. The finance-focused applications include project cost planning, profitability analysis, subscription revenue planning, consensus margin planning and software spend optimisation. Supply chain and retail tools cover areas such as trade promotion management, spend forecasting, assortment planning and inventory allocation.
The company has also introduced applications for workforce and project resource planning, while sales teams will gain access to forecasting tools designed to support scenario modelling and pipeline visibility.
Sanket Deodhar, India Head at Anaplan, said many large organisations continued to rely on disconnected software systems that limited operational agility. He stated that the new applications had been developed to accelerate deployment timelines and help businesses derive value from AI-enabled planning more quickly.
The launch forms part of Anaplan’s broader strategy to expand the use of AI across enterprise decision-making processes, providing organisations with integrated planning capabilities that connect business functions and support data-driven decision-making at scale.
