Brigade Hotel Ventures has announced plans to invest approximately INR 1,000 crore in Karnataka over the next five years as part of its hospitality expansion and asset modernisation strategy across the state. The investment will support development of new hotel projects alongside upgrades to existing hospitality assets within the company’s portfolio.

The announcement coincided with the company’s broader “Vision 2031” growth strategy, under which Brigade Hotel Ventures intends to add nearly 1,700 hotel keys over the next five years through a proposed capital investment of around INR 3,600 crore. The expansion plan is expected to strengthen the company’s presence across South India’s business, tourism, and mixed-use urban markets.

According to the company, Karnataka will remain a key focus market for future hospitality investments, particularly across Bengaluru and Mysuru corridors, where increasing business activity, tourism demand, and infrastructure development continue to support hotel sector growth. The investment roadmap was announced during the 10-year anniversary celebrations of Grand Mercure Mysuru, one of the company’s flagship hospitality assets.

Separately, Brigade Hotel Ventures and Marriott International have launched the rebranded Courtyard by Marriott Kochi Infopark in Kerala. The property previously operated as Four Points by Sheraton Kochi Infopark and has now been repositioned under the Courtyard by Marriott brand as part of the company’s hospitality asset upgrade strategy.

Located in Kakkanad adjoining Infopark Kochi, the hotel comprises 218 rooms and suites and is designed to cater to corporate, MICE, and leisure travellers. The property includes more than 8,000 sq ft of meeting and event space distributed across four venues, alongside multiple dining facilities, recreational amenities, and business-focused hospitality infrastructure.

Nirupa Shankar stated that the rebranding exercise reflected the company’s strategy of upgrading hospitality assets located within major business districts while aligning them with evolving traveller preferences and international hospitality standards.

The company currently operates nine hotels across Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Mysuru, and GIFT City with a combined inventory of approximately 1,604 keys. The portfolio includes partnerships with global hospitality operators including Marriott International, Accor, and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Industry observers note that hospitality developers are increasingly focusing on South India’s emerging business corridors and tier-II tourism markets amid rising domestic travel demand, improving air connectivity, and expanding mixed-use urban developments led by technology, office, and infrastructure growth.
