IDBI Bank has moved ahead with plans to establish a new office in Amaravati after signing a lease agreement with the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA). The bank has been allotted 0.4 acres of land in Uddandarayunipalem where it plans to develop its office with an investment of about INR 50 crore. The project is expected to generate around 200 employment opportunities. Officials from IDBI Bank and APCRDA completed the agreement and registration process in the presence of senior representatives, marking another institutional investment in the developing capital region.
IDBI Bank has taken a step towards expanding its presence in Amaravati by signing a lease agreement to establish a new office in the capital region. The bank had previously been allotted 0.4 acres of land in Uddandarayunipalem, located in Tullur mandal, for the proposed development.
The agreement for the project was signed earlier this week between the bank and the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA). According to the terms of the lease, IDBI Bank will develop its office in Amaravati with an investment of about INR 50 crore. The project is expected to create employment opportunities for around 200 people once operational.
Officials from both sides were present during the signing ceremony. The agreement was signed by APCRDA Joint Director (Estates) Zubin Chiran Roy and IDBI Bank Limited General Manager and Senior Regional Head Sai R Krishna. IDBI Bank Assistant General Managers V. Pradeep and P. Shyam Sundar also attended the event.
The registration process related to the agreement was completed at the Mandam Sub-Registrar's office in the presence of Joint Registrar CH Rambabu, formally concluding the documentation for the land lease.
During the event, IDBI Bank's General Manager Sai R Krishna explained that establishing an office in Amaravati would help the bank strengthen its ability to provide banking and financial services to people across the state in a more efficient and accessible manner. He also indicated that the new office forms part of the bank's broader plan to expand its operations in Andhra Pradesh while contributing to the growth of the capital region.
Amaravati has been planned as the administrative capital of Andhra Pradesh after the state's bifurcation in 2014. Over the years, the government and planning authorities have been working to attract institutional, financial and commercial establishments to the region to support its development. The involvement of banks and financial institutions is considered important for supporting infrastructure projects, business activity and public services in the capital area.
With the new office planned in Uddandarayunipalem, IDBI Bank joins other organisations that have been allocated land parcels in Amaravati as part of efforts to build administrative and financial infrastructure in the capital region.
