In a significant step towards integrating small cities into Uttar Pradesh's trillion-dollar economic vision, the state government will open registrations on 11 November for the Khurja Industrial Township, strategically located just 18 kilometres from the upcoming Noida Airport. This 80-acre township in Bulandshahr is anticipated to be a transformative project for local industries, connecting them to global trade networks. As part of the UP Master Plan 2031, the project aims to enhance the region's "One District, One Product" (ODOP) sector-particularly Bulandshahr's pottery, electric insulator, and sugar production markets.

According to officials, the Khurja Industrial Township has been developed at a cost of INR 430 crore and will provide an extensive range of facilities designed to support and modernise small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Bulandshahr Khurja Development Authority's vice-chairman, Ankur Lathar, emphasised the township's strategic location on the Delhi-Aligarh GT Road, underlining its potential to drive both local and international trade. The township will feature 82 industrial plots ranging from 500 to 3,500 square metres, priced at INR 20,000 per square metre, along with nine larger warehouse plots of 5,000 square metres each. An additional 12 commercial plots, measuring between 300 and 2,500 square metres, will be available at INR 40,000 per square metre to cater to various business needs.

Designed with entrepreneurs in mind, the township's amenities aim to create a convenient, well-rounded workspace. The development will include a 700-square-metre workshop, a spacious 1,800-square-metre community centre, an 850-square-metre boarding lodge, and a range of healthcare facilities including a nursing home and daycare centre. Other essential infrastructure such as an electric substation, police post, sanitation facilities, fire station, and a waste management centre will support the businesses and workers. In addition, a 1,200-square-metre green belt area is included to ensure sustainability.

Projected to generate over INR 25 crore in revenue for the authority, this township also emphasises inclusivity, with 10% of its plots reserved for ODOP entrepreneurs and women. This aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision of fostering local industry while empowering underrepresented groups in business. With its modern facilities and commitment to inclusivity, Khurja Industrial Township promises to be a game-changer for both local and emerging entrepreneurs.

The registration period will run from 11 November to 30 November, offering entrepreneurs an opportunity to participate in this ambitious industrial initiative. As a landmark project for Uttar Pradesh, the Khurja Industrial Township is set to not only enhance Bulandshahr's economy but also position it as a key player in connecting local markets to global opportunities, driving sustainable growth for the future.
