Navi Mumbai International Airport, inaugurated in December last year, is significantly increasing its operations in its first summer schedule. Daily departures will rise from 22 to 78, totaling 1,092 weekly flights. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation has commenced gas production from its Daman Upside Development Project (DUDP) in the Arabian Sea, marking a key addition to domestic energy supply. The offshore project, located around 180 km north-west of Mumbai and 80 km south of Pipavav, Gujarat, has started monetisation through a newly commissioned platform. The development is expected to produce 21.5 billion cubic metres of gas, with peak output projected at 5 million standard cubic metres per day. The 750-metre extension of the Mrinaltai Gore Flyover in Goregaon, Mumbai, which began nearly eight years ago, is now around 80% complete and expected to open by mid-May 2026. Madhya Pradesh is set to expand its aviation network by increasing the number of airports from eight to ten over the next two years. New airports in Ujjain and Shivpuri are under development, while several airstrips are being considered for upgrades under the regional connectivity plan. Concord Control Systems Limited has been awarded a contract worth INR 84.7 crore by Indian Railways for supplying, installing, and commissioning loco wireless control systems. French infrastructure firm VINCI Highways has emerged as the winning bidder to acquire Macquarie Asset Management's Toll Operate Transfer (ToT) 1 road portfolio in India for about INR 15,000 crore (around USD 1.6 billion). The portfolio includes nine operational toll projects spanning 648 km across Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat. Originally purchased by Macquarie in 2018 for INR 9,681 crore, the assets have generated consistent revenue over the years. Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a water management contract valued between INR 1,000 crore and INR 2,500 crore from the Guwahati Metropolitan Drinking Water & Sewerage Board to develop a 24x7 water supply system in South-East Guwahati. The project involves end-to-end execution, including intake systems, treatment facilities, reservoirs, pumping infrastructure and a city-wide distribution network with household connections. It also includes deployment of a SCADA-based monitoring system and a five-year operation and maintenance component. The upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to accelerate residential real estate activity in Greater Noida, with increased demand and new project launches anticipated as economic activity expands, according to a report by Knight Frank India. Annual housing supply in Greater Noida has already risen from 4,415 units in 2021 to 14,000 units in 2025, while sales have grown to 12,903 units over the same period. The micro-market accounted for 28 per cent of new launches and 25 per cent of sales across Delhi-NCR in 2025. The central government is set to deploy 10,000 air-conditioned electric buses across 116 cities by 2027 under the PM e-Bus Sewa scheme. The initiative will mainly cover Tier 2, Tier 3, and hill cities to improve public transport and reduce pollution. In addition, a larger plan to introduce around 35,000 more e-buses is under consideration. The scheme includes support for charging infrastructure and operations.
