The upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to accelerate residential real estate activity in Greater Noida, with increased demand and new project launches anticipated as economic activity expands, according to a report by Knight Frank India. Annual housing supply in Greater Noida has already risen from 4,415 units in 2021 to 14,000 units in 2025, while sales have grown to 12,903 units over the same period. The micro-market accounted for 28 per cent of new launches and 25 per cent of sales across Delhi-NCR in 2025. The report indicates that the airport will strengthen developer confidence, attract investments, and support growth along the Yamuna Expressway and surrounding catchments.Read more

The Union Cabinet has approved a revised project cost of INR 3,630.77 crore to develop a road corridor connecting the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar with major expressway networks in the National Capital Region. The 31.42-km greenfield corridor will link the airport to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through the DND Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna spur. Around 11 km of the road will be elevated to ensure smooth traffic flow. The project aims to improve access from Delhi, Faridabad and Gurugram and support passenger and cargo movement once the airport begins operations.Read more

Noida International Airport at Jewar in Uttar Pradesh has received its aerodrome licence, bringing the project close to starting operations. Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Rammohan Naidu informed the Rajya Sabha that the airport is expected to be inaugurated soon and flight services could begin within the next two months. The greenfield airport is being developed to improve aviation capacity in the National Capital Region and nearby parts of Uttar Pradesh. In the first phase, the airport will operate with a single runway and a passenger terminal designed to handle about 12 million passengers annually.Read more

Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP and Bhutani Group have won the bid to jointly develop the Film City project near Noida Airport. The project aims to create an integrated media infrastructure for the movie business value chain. Bayview secured the win with an 18% revenue-sharing offer to the UP government, beating competitors like T-Series, Akshay Kumar-backed Super Technobuild, and KC Bokadia's 4 Lions Films. With a moratorium of eight years, the developer will start paying 18% of gross revenue from the ninth year. The Film City, planned on 1000 acres, will include commercial and industrial zones, linked to Jewar Airport for enhanced connectivity. The project, valued at INR 1,510 crore, is expected to be completed in eight years, with a focus on incorporating advanced technologies for contemporary cinema.Read more

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is set to issue a global tender for the development of an Aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar by the end of October. The MRO facility is part of the airport's second phase, with nearly 60% of the required land already acquired. The land allotment process is expected to commence by year-end.
