Several piers of the Metro 6 corridor were removed after the depot entry alignment was revised, as MMRDA plans to implement a temporary siding for initial operations by 2026. The depot site is involved in ongoing legal disputes over ownership between the Central government and a private party. MMRDA has awarded a INR 2,269-crore contract to NCC for trains, signalling systems, and platform screen doors. The depot will include stabling lines, workshops, an operations centre, and washing facilities. Once operational, Metro 6 will provide a crucial east-west connection in Mumbai.Read more

The Uttar Pradesh government has approved INR 1,187 crore for infrastructure development in Varanasi, targeting sewerage and water supply systems. Gurugram is set to get an integrated bus terminal in Sector 10, designed to link directly with the upcoming metro corridor and improve last-mile connectivity. Developed at a cost of INR 32.4 crore, the project will convert seven acres of the existing depot into a modern terminal with multiple bus bays, waiting areas, and commuter facilities. Two additional terminals are planned at Sector 29 and Rajiv Chowk, while a depot-cum-terminal is being considered for Sector 12. Ceigall India, in partnership with JSP Projects, has won a INR 509.20 crore infrastructure contract from the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA). The project involves constructing internal roads along with civil, public health, and electrical works, scheduled for completion within 24 months under an item-rate agreement. Tripura Chief Minister Shri Manik Saha has said that damaged stretches of national highways in the state will be repaired on priority once the monsoon season withdraws. The stretches from Mohanpur to Khowai and Khowai to Kamalpur have deteriorated badly, creating difficulties for commuters and drawing public criticism. The CM mentioned that he had already discussed the issue with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, who had sent a team to assess the situation. NTPC Green Energy Ltd will begin commercial operations of a 25 MW portion of its 37.5 MW solar project in Bhuj, Gujarat, from September 27, 2025.
