Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) is preparing a INR 500 crore proposal for a double-decker flyover over the existing ISBT flyover. The elevated structure will connect Nigambodh Ghat near Margat Wale Baba to Majnu ka Tilla, creating a signal-free corridor from Rajghat to Majnu ka Tilla. The project, expected to take around two years to complete, aims to reduce traffic congestion, improve travel time, enhance safety, streamline bus operations, and reduce air pollution caused by vehicle idling in the area. Bhopal Metro is set to launch its priority corridor from AIIMS to Subhash Nagar Depot next month, spanning 7.5 km with eight stations and speeds up to 80 km/h. The project incorporates advanced noise and vibration reduction measures, including rubber padding under tracks, acrylic barriers, foam-insulated track-switch mechanisms, and vibration-reduction mats. Trains will slow near sensitive zones, and depot equipment will remain quiet within "pack houses." The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has completed Chhattisgarh's first National Highway tunnel, a key development in the state's infrastructure. The 2.79-kilometer twin-tube tunnel is part of the 464-kilometer Raipur-Visakhapatnam Economic Corridor (NH-130CD). Located along the hills bordering Kanker and Kondagaon districts near Odisha, the left tunnel is expected to open by March-April 2026, while the right tunnel will be ready by July-August 2026. Mumbai's first fully underground metro corridor, Metro Line 3 (Aqua Line), is now fully operational, connecting Cuffe Parade in south Mumbai to Aarey JVLR in Goregaon. The final stretch from Acharya Atre Chowk to Cuffe Parade adds 11 underground stations and strengthens access to heritage areas, business districts, and government hubs. The Ministry of Railways has approved a new 117-km railway line connecting Bihta and Anugrah Narayan Road, with an estimated cost of INR 3,606.42 crore.
