The Punjab government has approved plans to modernise bus terminals in Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Sangrur, Patiala and Bathinda to improve public transport facilities and commuter experience. The upgrades will be carried out through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) models under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. With terminals in Ludhiana and Jalandhar handling up to 1 lakh passengers daily, the initiative focuses on easing congestion and improving efficiency. Planned improvements include better waiting areas, upgraded sanitation, organised boarding, improved safety, lighting and parking facilities, along with barrier-free access. KPI Green Energy recorded strong financial performance in the quarter ended December 31, 2025, with consolidated net profit rising nearly 48 per cent to INR 125.80 crore. The growth was driven by a sharp increase in total income, which climbed to INR 676.05 crore from INR 466.09 crore a year earlier. The Uttar Pradesh government has signed an MOU with AM Green Group to set up a 1 gigawatt data centre in Greater Noida with an investment of USD 25 billion. The project, announced at the World Economic Forum in Davos, will be developed in phases, with the first phase starting in 2028 and full capacity targeted by 2030. Chandigarh's Deputy Commissioner and Estate Officer has set a firm March deadline to complete the digitisation of the city's property records. The project, which began last September, has already scanned around 16 lakh estate office papers and 17 lakh sub-registrar office records, but more work remains to meet the deadline. Central Railway has proposed shifting select long-distance trains from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) and Dadar to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT) and Panvel to ease pressure on Mumbai's suburban network. The move is expected to free up train paths on the Main line, allowing around 15 additional local services, including during peak hours. KP Green Engineering has secured fresh confirmed orders worth INR 248.2 crore across renewable energy, transmission, industrial, and infrastructure segments. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has introduced a new rule linking unpaid tolls and user fees on national highways to vehicle no-objection certificates (NOCs) for key services such as renewal of registration and insurance, ownership transfer and fitness certification. Under the revised Central Motor Vehicles Rules, vehicles with recorded but unpaid highway user fees will face denial of NOCs, a measure aimed at reducing toll evasion ahead of the nationwide rollout of a Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) barrierless tolling system. The provision comes barely a month before MLFF implementation on selected stretches of the National Highway network, where physical toll barriers will be removed and tolls collected electronically. Officials have said a portal will be launched to allow motorists to raise disputes and settle unpaid charges before NOC actions are taken, reflecting an effort to balance enforcement with due process.Read more

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has completed the restoration and widening of a 9.3-kilometre stretch of the Delhi-Meerut Road between Meerut Tiraha and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway at Duhai and handed it back to the Public Works Department (PWD). The road has been widened from 7 metres to 10.5 metres on both sides, along with the construction of nearly 6 km of drains to prevent waterlogging. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation is expanding the Aerocity metro station on the Airport Express Line to develop it into a key interchange hub for Delhi-NCR.
