The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) conducted an extensive anti-encroachment drive outside Anand Vihar Bus Terminal after the Delhi High Court lifted a long-standing stay. The operation cleared temporary shops, rehri-patris and other unauthorised roadside structures that had caused congestion, commuter difficulties and high pollution in the area. Officials deployed bulldozers, trucks and over 40 staff during a seven-hour exercise. The civic body had issued prior notices to vendors to vacate voluntarily. Indore is preparing to add 150 electric buses to its public transport network under the central government's PM E-Bus Scheme, which plans a total of 582 buses across several cities. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in Mumbai has taken platforms 16 and 17 out of service for 85 days to allow redevelopment work as part of its larger station overhaul. Central Railway has imposed traffic and power blocks from early February until late April to enable foundational strengthening and allied infrastructure improvements under the Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA). During this period, several long-distance trains are being short-terminated at Dadar or Thane. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has sealed seven construction sites in Sanpada for failing to implement mandatory air and noise pollution control measures, following directions issued by the Bombay High Court in a suo motu public interest litigation related to rising air pollution. The action was taken after inspections revealed multiple violations of the prescribed Standard Operating Procedures, including inadequate site barricading, lack of dust suppression, absence of protective gear for workers and failure to control dust on adjoining roads. Civic officials stated that despite prior notices warning of stop-work action, developers had not complied with pollution control norms. The sealed sites belong to various developers operating in sectors across Sanpada. Construction on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train corridor has reached another milestone with the completion of a 100 metre steel bridge on the Kalupur-Shahpur stretch in Ahmedabad. The Patna High Court has asked the National Highways Authority of India to identify effective measures to control vehicle overloading on national highways in Bihar.
