Foundation stone laid for new fire station in Amaravati government complex

The State Government has announced plans to set up fire stations at multiple locations across Amaravati, the capital city. One of these stations will be built on a 50-cent site at Nelapadu, within the Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), which houses major administrative buildings, including the Legislative Assembly and the High Court.


The foundation stone for the Nelapadu fire station was laid by Director General of Fire Services P. V. Ramana on Friday morning. The project will be executed by the AP Police Housing Corporation at an estimated cost of INR 1.28 crore.

Key officials present at the ceremony included Guntur District Fire Officer Srinivasa Reddy, DFO (CRDA) T. Srinivas, as well as the Executive Engineer and Deputy Engineer of AP Police Housing Corporation, among others. Officials confirmed that the fire station is expected to be completed by November 2026. This development is part of a broader initiative to enhance emergency services and safety infrastructure in the growing capital region.
