On April 4, MHADA allotted 663 rehabilitation homes to eligible Patra Chawl tenants in Goregaon (West) through a computerised lottery. The project received its Occupancy Certificate on April 1. MHADA arranged 686 parking spaces, will cover repairs for one year, and continue rent compensation until May 2025. INR 129 crore has been disbursed as rent till now.

Sales of affordable homes (below INR 50 lakh) fell 9% YoY to 21,010 units across eight major Indian cities in Q1 2025, per Knight Frank India. Homes priced INR 50 lakh–1 crore saw a 6% drop. In contrast, sales surged in luxury segments, including a 28% rise in the INR 2–5 crore range and an 82% jump in the INR 5–10 crore bracket. Super-luxury homes (INR 50+ crore) recorded 169 units. Overall sales rose 2% YoY to 88,274 units across top cities.
Max Estates Ltd has received a show cause notice from the GST department seeking recovery of INR 2.25 crore in inadmissible input tax credit (ITC) claimed between FY19 and FY23. The disputed ITC pertains to legal expenses related to business acquisitions and investments under NCLT disputes. The tax demand includes IGST (INR 1.07 crore), CGST (INR 58.9 lakh), and SGST (INR 58.9 lakh), along with applicable interest and penalties. The company expressed confidence in its legal position to contest the claim, should proceedings follow.
