Trichy Corporation launches camp for new UGD connections in completed Phase II areas

The Trichy corporation has initiated a special camp at Pandian Mahal on Thanjavur Main Road for residential and commercial property owners to apply for new underground drainage (UGD) connections in completed areas of phase II of the project. Applicants are required to bring their property tax payment receipts for the calculation of user fees based on property location. The camp, which began at 10 a.m., aims to facilitate around 5,000 connections, with plans for gradual expansion until the end of 2024. This phase of the UGD project, costing INR 377 crore, includes 287 km of pipelines and a sewage treatment plant at Keela Kalkandarkottai.Read more
