The Minister for Industrial Development in Uttar Pradesh, Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi, conducted a review of the proposed Master Plan 2041 for Noida, Greater Noida, and the Yamuna authorities in Lucknow. The respective boards have approved the master plans, which are now pending government approval. Nandi remarked that these regions are expected to become some of the most developed in the country over the next 50 years, characterised by seamless connectivity among them.
Officials indicated that the Jewar Airport is anticipated to drive regional growth, with the plan incorporating mixed-use developments, including hotels, restaurants, and workspaces. Shailendra Bhatia, the Officer on Special Duty for the Yamuna Authority, updated the minister regarding the Authority's Master Plan 2041 proposal, stating that the plan now encompasses 226 villages covering a total area of 769 square kilometres. The Master Plan 2041 is set to expand the airport and aviation hub area to 6,286.73 hectares, with provisions for 98 sectors. Furthermore, new land-use categories for hospitality and industrial purposes have been introduced.
In Mathura, the UP Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad put forth development proposals. In parallel, Noida's strategy is concentrated on the development of 30 villages in Gautam Budh Nagar and 60 in Bulandshahr, allocating 40% for industrial use, 18% for green spaces, and 18% for residential areas.
As per officials from the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority, connectivity remains a critical priority, and efficient transportation is viewed as the foundation of urban advancement.
