The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) has designated five major roads along the city's East-West Metro line as Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) corridors. The areas within approximately 800 metres of metro stations are now earmarked for mixed land use, allowing residential, commercial, and industrial development under the state's newly announced TOD policy. This initiative is aimed at promoting sustainable urban growth, reducing traffic congestion, and improving connectivity. The corridors span key junctions including Veer Tejaji Circle, Pandit T.N. Indian Railways has identified 2,670 road-under-bridges (RUBs) vulnerable to waterlogging out of 14,745 subways nationwide following a zone-wise assessment. The issue was raised in Parliament after concerns over frequent flooding at subways, including those in Tirupati. Permanent preventive infrastructure has been completed at 1,351 locations, while temporary dewatering arrangements are operational at the remaining sites. Amber Enterprises has announced plans to invest INR 500 crore in setting up a new research and development centre in Rajpura, Punjab.
