Vikram Solar has secured a 336 MW module supply order from L&T Construction for the Khavda solar project, strengthening its role in India's solar energy expansion. The order involves Hypersol G12R modules that offer high bifaciality, improved temperature performance, and low degradation, making solar power more affordable. Earlier in the year, the company also supplied 326 MW of modules to GIPCL for the same region. With a 4.5 GW production capacity and operations in 39 countries, Vikram Solar continues to lead in efficient solar module manufacturing in India.Read more

The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust in Mumbai has planned an expansion by acquiring Ram Mansion, a residential building near the temple, for INR 100 crore. Talks are also ongoing with the Siddhivinayak Cooperative Housing Society to buy its land. Together, both plots measure about 1,800 sqm and will allow the trust to build a darshan queue complex, a food hall, toilets, changing rooms, and staff housing. The Karnataka government has announced Greater Bengaluru Innovation and Tech City (GBIT), an AI-driven township planned in Bidadi, about 30 kilometres from Bengaluru. The township is designed as a self-sustaining urban hub under a work-live-play model, featuring housing, schools, hospitals, entertainment centres, AI-enabled civic services, and an international cricket stadium. With strong road, rail, and metro connectivity, the project also focuses on sustainability with zero-carbon, zero-waste, and zero-traffic goals. Farmers and landowners will be development partners through fair compensation or developed plots. The project revives a proposal first discussed nearly two decades ago.Read more

Mizoram is set to be fully connected to India's railway network with the 51.38-km Bairabi-Sairang broad-gauge line, to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2025. Built at a cost of INR 5,021 crore, the line will link Sairang, 20 km from Aizawl, with Silchar in Assam, integrating Mizoram with Assam, Tripura, and Arunachal Pradesh. The project includes 48 tunnels, 55 major bridges, and the 114-metre-high Krung Bridge, showcasing complex engineering in tough terrain. The new route will cut travel time for essential goods from 10 hours by road to about three hours, easing costs and improving connectivity for the state.Read more

The Maharashtra cabinet has cleared BEST's plan to seek INR 3,400 crore from the Centre to modernize and strengthen Mumbai's electricity network. The proposal, valued at INR 3,346.29 crore, will be submitted through Power Finance Corporation under the Reforms-Based and Results-Linked Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme. The project aims to cut Aggregate Technical & Commercial (AT&C) losses, bridge the ACS-ARR gap, and deliver 24x7 affordable power. Earlier approvals in 2022 had sanctioned INR 1,649 crore for prepaid smart metering and loss-reduction works, now underway. Adani Power has raised its thermal capacity expansion target to 41 GW by 2032, the largest plan announced by a private player in India's power sector. The revised goal, up from 30 GW earlier, adds 11 GW and supports the government's push to expand thermal capacity by 80 GW by FY32. The new addition, requiring INR 1.8 lakh crore investment, will be largely funded through internal accruals, with INR 1.12 lakh crore expected to be available for capex over six years. Adani has already placed advance BTG equipment orders for 23,720 MW, giving it a competitive edge. Its current portfolio stands at 18,150 MW across six states.Read more

The Maharashtra government has cleared the INR 6,500-crore New Nagpur project, aimed at setting up a hi-tech business and finance hub in Hingna taluka. Spread across 692 hectares in Godhni and Ladgaon, it will feature an International Business and Finance Centre and is being implemented by the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) with NBCC (India) Ltd as consultant. Of the total outlay, INR 3,000 crore will be used for land acquisition and INR 3,500 crore for Phase I development, funded by a HUDCO loan backed by the state government.Read more
