The Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated a lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant of Japanese firm TDK Corporation in Sohna, Haryana, with an initial investment of around INR 3,000 crore. The factory will produce about 20 crore battery packs annually for mobile phones, laptops, and wearable devices, meeting nearly 40% of India's yearly requirement of 50 crore cell packs. The facility, spread over approximately 180 acres, is expected to generate employment for over 5,000 people. ACME Solar Holdings has been awarded a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy project by Tata Power-D under a 250 MW FDRE tender at a tariff of INR 4.43 per unit. Invenia, a digital infrastructure and IT services company from Sterlite Technologies, is planning to grow its revenue from around INR 1,300-1,400 crore to nearly INR 2,000 crore over the next three years.
