The Union Government approved the development of the Mokama-Munger section of the Buxar-Bhagalpur high-speed corridor in Bihar, with an investment of INR 4,447.38 crore. The project, spanning 82.4 km, will be executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode. The approval was granted during a Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Once completed, the corridor will enhance connectivity between key cities, including Mokama, Barahiya, Lakhisarai, Jamalpur, Munger, and Bhagalpur.Read more

Vedanta Ltd has invested more than INR 12,500 crore in expanding its metal production facilities to meet the growing needs of India's electric vehicle sector. ACME Solar Holdings has placed a 2 GWh order for Battery Energy Storage Systems with Chuzhou Lishen New Energy Technology, facilitated by POSCO International and China FAW Group. The systems, to be delivered over six to ten months, will support ACME's FDRE and standalone storage projects slated for commissioning in the next twelve to eighteen months. With this latest order, ACME's total BESS procurement exceeds 5 GWh. State-owned NBCC Ltd has entered into an agreement with the Nagpur Metropolitan Region Development Authority (NMRDA) to take forward the 'Naveen Nagpur' project. The understanding, signed in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, appoints NBCC as project management consultant for the development. The business district will span around 1,710 acres, with 1,000 acres earmarked for immediate use and 710 acres reserved for future expansion.Read more

Waaree Renewable Technologies has secured a solar project order worth INR 1,252.43 crore from its group company, Waaree Forever Energies Pvt Ltd (WFEPL). The project is planned for completion in the financial year 2026-27 and involves Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) of an 870 MWac/1,218 MWp grid-connected ground-mounted solar power plant. The scope also includes a 33kV/400kV substation, transmission line works, and two years of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services. Runway RW 10/28 at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is scheduled to reopen this month after being closed for three months to complete upgrade works. The runway was initially supposed to be upgraded in May but was kept open due to congestion. It was later shut in mid-June for a detailed upgrade. The work included making the runway CAT III compliant by upgrading its Instrument Landing System, which will allow aircraft to land in fog and low visibility. The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) has issued an e-tender worth INR 21,000 crore for procuring and maintaining 2,856 air-conditioned Vande Metro suburban coaches over 35 years. This initiative is a part of the Mumbai Urban Transport Project (MUTP) Phases 3 and 3A, aims to modernize the city's suburban railway network and reduce overcrowding. The new coaches will operate in 12-, 15-, and 18-car formations, with maintenance depots at Bhivpuri on the Central Railway line and Vangaon on the Western Railway line.
