Punjab unveils Shahpur Kandi project to boost irrigation, power generation and tourism

Punjab Chief Minister Shri Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the Shahpur Kandi project earlier this week, aiming to strengthen the state's power generation and irrigation infrastructure. Built at a cost of around INR 3,394.49 crore, with Punjab contributing the major share and the remainder funded by the Centre, the project will benefit large tracts of farmland in the Majha region while creating employment opportunities. The dam will also support optimal use of water from the Ranjit Sagar dam and help prevent wastage flowing into Pakistan.Read more

Mumbai Airport to halt flight operations for six hours on November 20 for maintenance

The Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) has announced a temporary suspension of flight operations on November 20 for six hours to carry out its annual post-monsoon maintenance. Both intersecting runways 09/27 and 14/32 will remain closed from 11 am to 5 pm. The airport operator has issued a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) in advance to help airlines and ground staff adjust flight schedules and operations. PM Modi to inaugurate new Vande Bharat train connecting Varanasi and Khajuraho

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Varanasi-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express later this week, marking another addition to India's expanding semi-high-speed rail network. The train will operate six days a week, covering 443 km in about 7 hours 40 minutes. It will connect major cities and pilgrimage points such as Vindhyachal, Prayagraj Chheoki, Chitrakut Dham, Banda, and Mahoba. BMC to resurface Vikhroli, Vakola and Aarey flyovers under INR 35 crore plan

Noida Airport to feature full road, rail and bus access as UP govt accelerates connectivity

The Noida International Airport at Jewar is poised to benefit from a multi-modal access network combining road, rail and bus links, according to the Government of Uttar Pradesh. A detailed project report has been approved for a rail corridor and a new station on the high-speed Delhi�Varanasi line is being included. Delhi Airport records 34% rise in Asia-Europe transit passengers

BMC plans to remodel 48 crash-prone junctions to improve road safety
