Items seized included carts, stools, tables, signboards, lights, and iron frames. The drive focused on areas along the metro route, including the AIIMS approach road, Ashoka Garden, Jawahar Chowk, Bhadbhada Road, and Hamidia Road, aiming to improve pedestrian movement and traffic flow. Odisha's Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi announced development projects worth more than INR 3,700 crore for Keonjhar district during a recent visit. The plan covers road upgradation, civic infrastructure, industrial facilities, and redevelopment of the Maa Tarini temple complex. Key projects include a four-lane ring road around Barbil, a bypass for Keonjhar town, a tech park, a data centre, a textile park, and upgrades to the Raisuan airstrip and Keonjhar stadium. Vingroup, Vietnam's largest conglomerate, has moved forward with a plan to invest USD 3 billion in Telangana to build a multi-sector ecosystem spanning smart urban development, electric mobility, healthcare, education, tourism and renewable energy. The agreement with the state government covers around 2,500 hectares and represents the group's largest potential investment outside Vietnam. The development strengthens Vingroup's growing presence in India, where VinFast already operates a facility in Tamil Nadu and recently announced an additional USD500 million expansion. Mumbai Metro has deployed an AI-based wheel profile measurement system developed by IntelliRail on Metro lines 2A and 7 to detect wheel wear or damage. Installed at the Charkop depot, the system uses sensors, lasers, and cameras to capture precise measurements, reducing the need for manual inspections. It can alert maintenance teams automatically if wheels exceed preset limits, enabling proactive repairs. Haryana has strengthened its clean energy plans with new directions from Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini, who instructed officials to equip all government buildings with rooftop solar systems. He reviewed progress under the PM Suryaghar: Muft Bijli Yojana and pressed departments to speed up installations. The state has completed 42,486 rooftop solar systems so far and is targeting 2,22,000 installations by March 2027. Authorities have also proposed a new scheme, the Saur Urja Protsahan Yojana, to encourage wider adoption. BEML Ltd has announced two key agreements aimed at improving financial access and technological capabilities in India's maritime manufacturing sector. The first pact, signed with Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL), focuses on enabling dedicated funding support for domestic maritime production, in line with the Centre's push for greater self-reliance. In another agreement, BEML partnered with HD Korea Shipbuilding & Offshore Engineering and HD Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries to jointly design, develop, and manufacture next-generation conventional and autonomous port cranes. Work has begun on a 4.26 km, four-lane road over the Rajiv Nagar-Kurji drain in Patna, aimed at easing traffic for over 2 lakh residents. The project includes converting the open drain into a covered box drain and constructing a wide road with footpaths, street lighting, and drainage infrastructure. Contracted at INR 149.5?crore, it will connect key localities including Rajiv Nagar, Mahesh Nagar, Indrapuri, and Patel Nagar, addressing congestion, waterlogging, and sanitation challenges. Mumbai will open the first sections of two major metro lines on December 31. The debut stretches include part of Metro Line 9 between Dahisar East and Kashigaon, and a 5.3 km segment of Metro Line 2B from Diamond Garden to Mandale. Line 9, a 13.58 km elevated extension of Line 7, is awaiting safety clearance, while Line 2B is undergoing trial runs. Both sections are expected to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. MMRDA plans to open the next phase of Line 2B by next summer, leaving only the central portion pending.
