The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has approved the Dagadarthi Greenfield Airport project in Nellore district, marking the state's eighth airport and a major boost to regional infrastructure. Strategically located near national highways, Krishnapatnam and Ramayapatnam ports, and key industrial zones, the airport will strengthen air, road, and port connectivity. Developed on 1,332 acres through a public-private partnership, Phase 1 will handle 1.4 million passengers annually, with scope to expand to 15 million. The plan includes a cargo terminal to support manufacturing, agriculture, and exports. The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids to develop commercial spaces at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. Around 18,578 square metres of station property will be offered on a 25-year licence to generate non-fare revenue and improve passenger facilities. The planned uses include rooftop restaurants, caf's, retail outlets, wellness centres and showrooms across multiple station levels. The central government has announced plans to set up the seventh National Postal Training Centre in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh, with an investment of INR 111 crore. Nashik's Neo Metro project, envisioned as a modern urban transit system, has remained stalled for nearly eight years despite receiving state-level approval. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai recorded a record 55.5 million passengers in 2025, driven by strong domestic and international travel demand. Domestic passengers reached about 39.2 million, while international travellers numbered around 16.3 million. Delhi, Bengaluru, and Goa were the busiest domestic routes, while Dubai, London, and Abu Dhabi led international traffic. IndiGo, Air India, and Emirates dominated passenger volumes. January and November were the peak months, and the October-December quarter recorded the highest quarterly traffic. Kolkata-based Texmaco Rail & Engineering has completed the hydro-mechanical systems for the 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project at the Arunachal Pradesh Assam border. Acting as the sole contractor, the company managed design, manufacture, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of the systems needed for eight units of 250 MW each. Unit 1 started wet commissioning in late October, while Unit 2 entered commercial operation in December 2025. The Delhi government has transferred execution responsibility for the Munak Canal elevated road project to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), while funding, land acquisition, and coordination will remain with the Public Works Department (PWD). The National Highways Authority of India has set four Guinness World Records during construction of the Bengaluru-Kadapa-Vijayawada Economic Corridor on NH 544G, highlighting rapid progress in highway development. Passenger complaints on the Rail Madad grievance platform regarding train coach and bedroll cleanliness increased sharply in the last two months of 2025 compared with September 2025, with bedroll complaints rising from 8,758 to over 13,000 and coach cleanliness grievances climbing from around 24,800 to nearly 36,700. While more passengers submitted feedback in those months, the share of excellent and satisfactory ratings declined slightly, highlighting a dip in satisfaction with grievance resolution.
