The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has invited bids to develop commercial spaces at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor. Around 18,578 square metres of station property will be offered on a 25-year licence to generate non-fare revenue and improve passenger facilities. The planned uses include rooftop restaurants, caf's, retail outlets, wellness centres and showrooms across multiple station levels. The station's location near dense residential areas and major transport links is expected to support strong commercial activity.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has initiated plans to introduce rooftop dining and retail facilities at the Ghaziabad Namo Bharat Station as part of its broader strategy to monetise station assets and enhance commuter amenities. Tenders have been issued for commercial development at the station, located on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, covering a total Property Development area of about 18,578 square metres.
The commercial spaces will be offered on a licence basis for a period of 25 years against a fixed licence fee. The tender process is being conducted through e-tendering, and the final date for bid submission has been scheduled for early February 2026. According to NCRTC, the move is aimed at strengthening non-fare revenue while creating additional services for passengers and nearby residents.
Planned commercial areas include spaces on the ground floor, upper and lower property development levels, core floors and the concourse terrace. These areas can be utilised for rooftop restaurants, caf's, food outlets, retail shops, pharmacies, banquet halls, medical and wellness centres, showrooms, hotels and outlets selling regional products. The flexibility in permitted uses is intended to attract a wide range of operators.
Officials have highlighted the station's strong commercial potential due to its location in a densely populated part of Ghaziabad. The station is close to the city's main bus terminal and is well connected to surrounding residential neighbourhoods such as Patel Nagar, Raj Nagar, Arya Nagar and Kavi Nagar. The catchment also includes local markets, schools and commercial establishments, which is expected to ensure steady footfall beyond daily commuters.
The Ghaziabad station is part of the 82-kilometre Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, where NCRTC has been gradually operationalising sections. Property development at stations has been identified as a key revenue stream to support long-term operations and maintenance of the corridor.
