• The development reflects continued outsourcing and technology integration trends across India’s banking infrastructure and financial services sector.

CMS Info Systems has secured a five-year integrated ATM managed services mandate worth INR 400 crore from HDFC Bank as banks continue to strengthen outsourcing and technology-driven operational infrastructure.

According to the company, the agreement involves the management of 6,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) for HDFC Bank across multiple locations.

The mandate includes ATM management services alongside currency forecasting, cash logistics operations and artificial intelligence-based solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and service management.

Anush Raghavan stated that the transaction is expected to increase the contribution of private sector banking clients to the company’s revenue mix from approximately 25 per cent currently to around 30 per cent by the end of FY27.

He further noted that the company had expanded its engagement with ICICI Bank during the previous financial year and had also recently secured a separate INR 1,000 crore contract from State Bank of India.

According to regulatory disclosures, HDFC Bank operated a network of more than 21,000 ATMs as of March 2026, making it one of the country’s largest ATM operators within the private banking sector.

Industry participants have observed that banks are increasingly outsourcing ATM operations, cash management and backend infrastructure services to specialised technology and logistics firms as part of broader efforts to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen digital monitoring systems.

The integration of AI-based systems into ATM management has also gained momentum in recent years, particularly for predictive maintenance, cash forecasting, fraud monitoring and optimisation of currency replenishment cycles.

The banking infrastructure segment has continued to witness investments in managed services, automation and transaction support systems amid rising digital banking adoption and continued demand for physical banking access points across urban and semi-urban markets.

CMS Info Systems provides cash management, ATM outsourcing and technology-enabled banking infrastructure services to financial institutions across India.
