Rajdarbar Developments Private Limited has lodged a complaint with Jaipur police alleging illegal excavation and violation of a court stay order on disputed land in Chimanpura village under Bhankrota police station limits. The company claimed that unidentified persons entered the land with heavy machinery and carried out excavation despite restrictions imposed by the SDO (South) court. Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been received and an investigation is underway. The dispute is part of a series of ongoing land-related complaints involving the developer and properties in Jaipur’s rapidly expanding outskirts.
A land dispute in Jaipur has intensified after Rajdarbar Developments Private Limited filed a police complaint alleging illegal excavation activity on a disputed land parcel despite an active court stay order. The complaint was submitted at Bhankrota police station and relates to land located in Chimanpura village on the outskirts of Jaipur.
According to the complaint, unidentified persons allegedly entered the land using heavy machinery, including JCBs and tractors, and carried out excavation work even though the matter is currently pending before the SDO (South) court. The company claimed that the court had already directed all parties to maintain status quo on the land and had restrained any excavation, construction activity or transfer of possession until the dispute is resolved.
The company’s representative Surendra Singh alleged that the accused individuals were fully aware of the court’s directions but still proceeded with excavation activities on the site. The complaint further stated that the alleged actions amounted to trespassing, violation of judicial orders and unlawful interference with disputed property. The developer has sought registration of an FIR and seizure of the machinery allegedly used during the excavation work.
Police officials confirmed that a complaint had been received and said the matter was being examined. Authorities also stated that no illegal possession or unauthorised activity would be permitted on the disputed land while the investigation is underway. Officials are expected to verify the court orders, ownership documents and details of the excavation activities mentioned in the complaint.
The disputed land reportedly measures around 22.42 hectares and has been under litigation for some time. The Chimanpura and Bhankrota belt has seen increasing real estate activity in recent years because of Jaipur’s outward expansion and improving connectivity. However, the region has also witnessed several disputes linked to land ownership, alleged encroachments and unauthorised development.
This is not the first time entities linked to the Rajdarbar group have approached authorities over land-related matters in Jaipur. Earlier this year, Rajdarbar Pink City Developers Pvt Ltd moved the Lokayukta alleging illegal partition of agricultural land in the Sanganer area and unauthorised changes in land records. The company had alleged that certain revenue officials exceeded their authority while approving partition-related changes without consent from all concerned parties.
In another matter reported previously, the developer had approached the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) over alleged irregularities in land ownership records related to property in Jayasinghpura Bas village near Bhankrota. The company had claimed that unauthorised land division and record alterations resulted in fragmentation of holdings and financial losses.
Land disputes linked to excavation, conversion and ownership claims have become increasingly common in Jaipur’s peripheral areas as residential and commercial development expands beyond the city’s core regions. Several such matters involving private developers, landowners and local authorities are currently pending before courts and administrative bodies across the Sanganer and Bhankrota zones.
