ITP Aero has commenced construction of its India manufacturing facility with an investment of INR 453 crore at Shamshabad, Hyderabad. The project, spread across 10 acres in Hardware Park Phase III, will produce critical aeroengine components and is expected to become operational by 2027. The facility is projected to generate around 350 skilled jobs initially, with workforce expansion to approximately 600 over time. The development reflects growing investments in aerospace manufacturing and precision engineering infrastructure in Telangana.
ITP Aero has initiated construction of its India manufacturing facility with a groundbreaking ceremony held in the past week at Hardware Park Phase III in Shamshabad, on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Advertisement
The project, which involves an investment of INR 453 crore, will be developed over a land parcel of approximately 10 acres. The facility is expected to manufacture critical aeroengine components, including end-fittings and brackets used in rigid tube systems for aircraft engines.
The foundation ceremony was conducted in the presence of senior officials from the Telangana government, marking the formal commencement of construction activity. The project is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen aerospace manufacturing capabilities in the state, supported by industrial infrastructure and policy incentives.
Once operational, the facility is expected to generate employment for around 350 skilled professionals across areas such as precision engineering, advanced manufacturing, and quality control. The workforce is projected to expand to approximately 600 employees over time as production scales up.
The plant is scheduled to commence full-scale operations by 2027, subject to completion of construction and installation of manufacturing systems. The development timeline includes phased implementation of infrastructure and equipment required for specialised aerospace component production.
Hardware Park in Shamshabad has emerged as a key industrial cluster for aerospace, defence, and electronics manufacturing, supported by proximity to the Hyderabad international airport and connectivity to logistics networks. The availability of developed industrial land and infrastructure has attracted investments from global and domestic manufacturers.
The establishment of the ITP Aero facility is expected to contribute to the broader ecosystem of aerospace manufacturing in the region, supporting supply chains and component production capabilities.
Officials indicated that such investments align with efforts to position Telangana as a hub for advanced manufacturing and high-value industrial activity. The focus on precision engineering and aerospace components reflects increasing demand for specialised manufacturing capabilities within India.
The project also highlights the role of industrial parks in facilitating large-scale manufacturing investments by providing ready infrastructure and regulatory support. The development is expected to integrate with existing industrial clusters in and around Hyderabad.
With construction now underway, the project adds to the pipeline of manufacturing investments in the region, reflecting continued interest from global companies in establishing production facilities in India.
The facility is expected to play a role in supporting domestic and international aerospace supply chains once operational, contributing to the sector’s long-term growth.
