Synopsis

WeWork India Management Ltd has expanded its presence in the Delhi-NCR market with the launch of a new co-working centre at Aerocity. The facility spans 1.1 lakh sq ft and offers more than 1,400 desks, taking its total count in the region to 17 centres. The move comes amid rising demand for managed flexible workspaces. Since its inception, the company has grown to 73 centres across eight cities, covering 8.2 million sq ft. Industry data from Colliers India highlights strong momentum, with co-working leasing activity rising sharply during the past quarter.

WeWork India Management Ltd has strengthened its footprint in the Delhi-NCR region with the opening of a new co-working centre at Aerocity. The newly launched facility spans approximately 1.1 lakh sq ft and provides more than 1,400 desks, catering to the growing demand for flexible and managed office solutions.

With this addition, the company’s total number of operational centres in the Delhi-NCR market has reached 17. The expansion reflects continued interest from enterprises, startups, and hybrid workforce models seeking scalable and ready-to-use office environments.

The company, which began operations in 2017, has steadily expanded its presence across key urban markets. It currently operates in eight cities—Chennai, New Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad. As of the end of the past year, its portfolio comprised 73 centres, covering a total area of 8.2 million sq ft.

The latest addition in Aerocity aligns with the broader trend of increasing demand for flexible workspaces, particularly in prime commercial hubs with strong connectivity and infrastructure. Locations such as Aerocity continue to attract corporate occupiers due to their proximity to airports, hospitality developments, and business districts.

Industry data indicates that this demand is not limited to a single operator. According to Colliers India, leasing activity by co-working operators saw a significant rise during the past quarter, increasing by 77% year-on-year to 3.9 million sq ft from 2.2 million sq ft in the corresponding period of the previous year. This growth underlines a structural shift in office space consumption, where flexibility and cost efficiency are becoming key decision factors.

The continued expansion by players such as WeWork India suggests confidence in the long-term growth of the flexible workspace segment, particularly as companies reassess their real estate strategies in response to evolving workplace needs.
