• Harsh Sanghavi visited the Dholera Special Investment Region to review infrastructure preparedness and ongoing development activity within the emerging industrial hub.

Harsh Sanghavi visited the Dholera Special Investment Region to review ongoing development activity and assess the supporting infrastructure being created for the region’s anticipated industrial and urban expansion.
The Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by senior officials including Kuldeep Arya, Rushin Bhatt, Industries Secretary Mamta Verma, Tourism Secretary SS Rathore and other government representatives associated with the Dholera infrastructure and industrial development programme.
As part of the review visit, the delegation toured GAP Group’s Akhilam township located within Dholera’s Activation Area. Company representatives briefed officials on the township’s development progress and its planned role in catering to future residential and commercial requirements expected to emerge alongside industrial growth in the region.
The delegation reviewed several project components including studio apartments, co-working facilities and food court infrastructure being developed within the township. Officials from the company stated that these facilities are intended to support the evolving accommodation and lifestyle requirements of professionals, businesses and industrial stakeholders expected to operate within Dholera.
During the visit, Sanghavi emphasised the importance of creating quality residential and lifestyle infrastructure to complement the rapid pace of industrialisation taking place within the region. He encouraged developers to expedite project execution timelines in anticipation of increasing demand from industries establishing operations in Dholera.
The Deputy Chief Minister also indicated that the region is likely to witness a significant increase in demand for ready-to-occupy accommodation in the near future as industrial investments and economic activity continue to expand across the special investment region.
Representatives from GAP Group additionally briefed the delegation on the construction of what the company described as one of the largest RCC raft foundations being developed for a residential project within Dholera. According to the company, the engineering work reflects the scale of planned residential infrastructure being undertaken in the emerging urban and industrial zone.
Ambrish Parajiya stated that the visit by senior government officials reflects increasing administrative focus on Dholera’s development and provides confidence to developers and investors participating in the region’s growth. He added that the company remains focused on developing infrastructure aligned with the region’s long-term urban expansion plans.
Gopal Goswami stated that Dholera represents a major component of India’s long-term economic and industrial development vision. He added that projects such as Akhilam are intended to support the region’s future residential, commercial and social infrastructure requirements as investment activity accelerates.
Dholera has continued to attract growing interest from industrial players and investors in recent years, supported by planned infrastructure upgrades, industrial corridor development and policy-led efforts aimed at establishing the region as a major manufacturing and economic hub within Gujarat.
