Synopsis

Vietnam-based Vingroup’s EV charging arm V-Green has partnered with ChargeZone to develop a co-branded EV charging network for VinFast customers in India. The collaboration marks VinFast’s first charging partnership with an Indian charge point operator as the company prepares to expand its presence in the country’s electric mobility market. Around 15 charging stations have already become operational, while nearly 100 more stations are planned over the next six months. The partnership aims to improve charging accessibility, strengthen EV infrastructure and support growing electric vehicle adoption across major locations in India.

Vietnam-based Vingroup’s electric vehicle charging arm V-Green has entered into a strategic partnership with ChargeZone to jointly develop dedicated EV charging infrastructure for VinFast customers across India.

The collaboration will support VinFast’s expansion plans in the Indian market through a co-branded charging network aimed at improving charging accessibility and convenience for electric vehicle users. According to the companies, the first 15 charging stations developed under the partnership have already been commissioned and are operational.

As part of the next phase of rollout, the companies are planning to deploy nearly 100 additional co-branded charging stations over the next six months. The network expansion is expected to cover several important locations across the country, strengthening charging availability for both VinFast customers and the wider EV ecosystem.

This is VinFast’s first co-branded charging partnership with a Charge Point Operator (CPO) in India. The move reflects increasing collaboration between electric vehicle manufacturers and charging infrastructure providers as companies look to address concerns around charging accessibility and range support.

Industry participants have been focusing on expanding public charging infrastructure amid rising EV adoption in India. Several automakers and energy companies have recently accelerated partnerships and investments in charging networks to support the expected increase in electric passenger vehicle demand.

ChargeZone Founder and CEO Kartikey Hariyani stated that the co-branded charging network has been designed to address one of the key factors influencing EV adoption, which is dependable and accessible charging infrastructure beyond the point of vehicle purchase. He added that as EV adoption grows in India, such partnerships will play an important role in building charging networks that are reliable, accessible and integrated with the broader mobility ecosystem.

V-Green CEO Nguyen Nam Tien said the partnership would help expand reliable charging touchpoints for VinFast customers as well as the wider EV community. He noted that the initiative is expected to support seamless mobility, accelerate EV adoption and strengthen confidence in sustainable transportation across the country.

VinFast has been increasing its focus on the Indian market as part of its broader international expansion strategy. The company has already announced plans related to manufacturing and sales operations in India, while also exploring partnerships to strengthen its ecosystem support infrastructure.
