Synopsis

Suzlon Energy reported a 5.6 per cent decline in consolidated net profit to INR 1,114 crore in the March quarter of FY26, mainly due to lower deferred tax benefits compared to the previous year. However, the company posted strong growth in revenue, which rose significantly on a yearly basis. For the full FY26 period, both profit and revenue showed notable improvement, supported by higher execution in wind turbine deliveries and a strong order book. The company also highlighted steady demand from public sector and commercial & industrial customers, along with improved cash position and operational performance.

Suzlon Energy has reported a 5.6 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to INR 1,114 crore for the March quarter of FY26. The drop in profit was largely attributed to a lower deferred tax benefit during the period.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of INR 1,181 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The deferred tax benefit stood at INR 284.32 crore in the reporting quarter, significantly lower than INR 600.75 crore received in the corresponding period last year.

Despite the decline in profit, Suzlon Energy recorded strong growth in revenue from operations, which increased to INR 5,468 crore from INR 3,774 crore in the same quarter a year ago.

For the full FY26 period, the company reported a consolidated net profit of INR 3,163 crore, up from INR 2,072 crore in the previous year. Revenue from operations also rose to INR 16,679 crore from INR 10,851 crore in the same period a year earlier.

Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, Girish Tanti, stated that the company’s S144 platform has achieved 9 GW of cumulative order intake and noted that the wind turbine generator business has delivered 55 per cent compound annual growth over the last three years.

Chief Executive Officer Ajay Kapur said the company delivered its highest-ever annual deliveries in India at 2.5 GW during FY26, reflecting strong execution across operations. He also highlighted that Suzlon continues to see robust demand for wind energy solutions, supported by a 5.9 GW order book, of which 66 per cent comes from the public sector and commercial & industrial segment.

Chief Financial Officer Rahul Jain added that the company recorded 67 per cent growth in profit before tax during FY26 and maintained a healthy cash position of INR 2,384 crore as of March 31, 2026.
