Suzlon has secured a repeat order of 195 MW from Sunsure Energy in the wind energy segment, further strengthening its presence in India’s renewable energy market. With this order, Suzlon’s 3 MW platform has now reached nearly 9 GW in cumulative sales, showing steady demand for its wind turbine solutions.

The ongoing partnership between Suzlon and Sunsure Energy has now expanded to around 300 MW across Maharashtra and Karnataka. This repeat order is expected to further support the companies’ ongoing renewable energy development pipeline in these states.

Suzlon’s orderbook in Karnataka has crossed the 2 GW milestone, marking a key position in one of India’s leading wind energy markets. The company already has an installed base of 1,500 MW in Karnataka, which contributes 24% of its total installed base in South India.

Under the project, Suzlon will install 65 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a capacity of 3.0 MW. The scope of work includes supply of wind turbines, project execution, erection, and commissioning. After commissioning, Suzlon will also provide long-term operations and maintenance services for the project.

The wind project will be developed in Bijapur district of Karnataka. Alongside this, Suzlon is also executing multiple commercial and industrial wind projects in the state with a combined capacity of 664 MW, reflecting its active project pipeline in the region.

Sunsure Energy’s Chief Executive Officer highlighted that future clean energy infrastructure will depend on reliable power delivery based on demand, not just wind or solar availability. Suzlon’s Chief Executive Officer stated that the nearly 300 MW partnership has been built on execution quality, consistent performance, and lifecycle support.
