Synopsis

Private equity firm Oak Hill Capital has agreed to acquire Guild Garage Group in a deal valued at more than USD 800 million, according to people familiar with the matter. Launched in 2024, Guild Garage Group has rapidly expanded through acquisitions, purchasing nearly 30 residential garage door repair and replacement businesses across the United States. The company generates more than USD 300 million in annual revenue and roughly USD 50 million in EBITDA, sources said. The transaction highlights growing private equity interest in residential services businesses, which offer stable cash flows and consolidation opportunities in fragmented markets. Both Oak Hill Capital and Guild Garage Group declined to comment on the transaction.

Private equity firm Oak Hill Capital has agreed to acquire Guild Garage Group in a transaction valued at more than USD 800 million, according to four people familiar with the matter.

Guild Garage Group, founded in 2024, has grown rapidly by consolidating independent garage door repair and replacement businesses across the United States. The company has completed nearly 30 acquisitions within two years as part of a roll-up strategy targeting the highly fragmented residential garage door services market.

Sources said the company currently generates more than USD 300 million in annual revenue and approximately USD 50 million in annual earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA).

The acquisition reflects a broader trend among private equity firms investing in residential services businesses. Such companies are increasingly attractive to investors due to their steady demand, predictable cash flows and opportunities for operational efficiencies through consolidation in fragmented sectors.

Guild Garage Group was co-founded by Jordan Dubin, Joe Delaney and Sean Slazyk, who previously worked together at private equity firm L Catterton. The trio were part of the same associate class in 2021 before leaving the firm to establish Guild.

The founders structured Guild as a roll-up platform that allows acquired garage door businesses to maintain operational independence while benefiting from the scale, purchasing power and shared resources of a larger organisation.

Headquartered in New York City, Oak Hill Capital is a middle-market private equity firm that has raised more than USD 25 billion in initial capital commitments and co-investments since its inception.

Both Oak Hill Capital and Guild Garage Group declined to comment on the reported transaction.
