Synopsis

Mumbai's premium housing market recorded another high-value residential transaction as an ultra-luxury apartment in Worli was sold for INR 123.5 crore. The property was acquired by Radha Tanti, an angel investor and wife of Suzlon Energy's executive vice chairman. Located in the Artesia tower, the apartment offers a large carpet area along with a private balcony and multiple parking spaces. The deal reflects continued interest in limited high-end homes in central Mumbai despite a cautious buyer environment.

A luxury residential apartment in Mumbai's Worli area was sold for INR 123.5 crore, underlining sustained demand for high-value homes in the city's prime locations. The buyer, Radha Tanti, is an angel investor and the spouse of Suzlon Energy's executive vice chairman. The transaction was registered during the past week, as per property registration documents accessed by market data firm CRE Matrix.

The apartment is located on the 44th floor of the Artesia tower, a well-known luxury residential development in Worli. It has a carpet area of about 6,772 sq ft and includes a balcony measuring around 367 sq ft. The purchase also comes with six car parking spaces, a key consideration for buyers in this segment. Stamp duty of approximately INR 6.18 crore was paid for the registration of the property.

The seller was Ravi Raheja along with Sumati Raheja of K Raheja Corp, a major real estate group with a strong presence in Mumbai's premium residential market. Queries sent to the buyer, the seller, and Suzlon Energy did not receive responses.

Worli has remained one of Mumbai's most active micro-markets for luxury home sales over the past few years. The area has seen several large-ticket transactions, including purchases by top industrialists and business families. Previous deals in the locality have crossed INR 200 crore, and some sea-facing duplex homes have been sold at record values, highlighting the area's long-standing appeal among wealthy buyers.

Industry experts point out that limited supply of large, high-quality apartments in central locations like Worli continues to support pricing. Improved road connectivity and proximity to business districts further strengthen the locality's position in Mumbai's luxury housing landscape.
