Synopsis

Realty firm Signature Global has announced plans to invest INR 380 crore to adopt advanced earthquake-resistance technology across its ongoing and future residential projects. The company has signed a memorandum of understanding with Indo-Italian joint venture CECO Hirun Pvt Ltd to deploy Hysteretic Tuned Mass Dampers (HTMDs), a specialised system designed to reduce vibrations in high-rise buildings caused by wind and seismic activity. The technology will be implemented in around 80-100 high-rise residential towers, with scope for expansion as per project requirements. Signature Global said the initiative is particularly significant for developments in seismic-prone regions such as Delhi-NCR, which falls under Seismic Zone IV. The move underscores the developer's focus on safety, structural resilience and long-term value for residents.

Realty firm Signature Global on Saturday said it will invest INR 380 crore to adopt advanced earthquake-resistance technology in its ongoing and future residential projects.

The company has signed a memorandum of understanding worth INR 380 crore with Indo-Italian joint venture CECO Hirun Pvt Ltd for deploying specialised construction technology aimed at improving the safety and stability of high-rise buildings.

The technology, known as Hysteretic Tuned Mass Dampers (HTMDs), is designed to reduce vibrations in tall structures caused by wind and earthquakes. By controlling building movement, the system enhances structural stability as well as occupant comfort.

Around 80-100 high-rise residential towers will be covered under this INR 380 crore MoU, said Lalit Aggarwal, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of Signature Global, adding that the scope of the agreement will be expanded based on the company's future requirements.

Aggarwal said that as Indian cities continue to build taller structures, integrating advanced safety solutions at the design stage has become critical. He added that the collaboration with CECO Hirun Pvt Ltd combines global engineering expertise with an understanding of local construction practices.

The company highlighted that in seismic-prone regions such as Delhi-NCR, which falls under Seismic Zone IV, the adoption of advanced vibration-control solutions is essential to ensure long-term safety and resilience.

Agostino Marioni, Chairman of CECO Hirun India Pvt Ltd, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to engineering excellence and innovation, setting new benchmarks for resilient and future-ready infrastructure in India.

Signature Global is among the leading real estate developers in the country. As of September 2025, the company has delivered 16 million square feet of real estate and reported sales bookings of INR 10,290 crore in the last financial year.
