Synopsis

Waaree Renewable Technologies has secured an order worth INR 102.75 crore for the execution of a solar power project on a turnkey basis, according to a regulatory filing. The order involves the setting up of a ground-mounted solar project with a capacity of 25 MWac or 35 MWp, along with evacuation infrastructure of 50 MW. The project has been awarded by a domestic entity and includes engineering, procurement and construction works. As per the terms of the order, the project is scheduled to be completed during the 2026-27 financial year. The development adds to the company's EPC order book in the renewable energy segment.

Waaree Renewable Technologies said earlier this week that it has secured an order valued at INR 102.75 crore for the development of a solar power project, further strengthening its presence in the renewable energy sector. The order has been awarded by a domestic entity and involves the execution of a ground-mounted solar project on a turnkey basis.

According to a regulatory filing, the project entails the setting up of a solar power plant with a capacity of 25 MWac or 35 MWp. In addition to the generation facility, the scope of work also includes the development of evacuation infrastructure with a capacity of 50 MW. The company has been awarded a letter of award for undertaking the engineering, procurement and construction works related to the project.

Waaree Renewable Technologies stated that the aggregate project size is 25 MWac or 35 MWp and that the total order value of INR 102.75 crore excludes applicable taxes. The company did not disclose the name of the client but clarified that the order has been placed by a domestic entity.

As per the terms outlined in the filing, the project is scheduled for completion during the 2026-27 financial year. The timeline reflects the scale of the project and the integrated nature of the work, which includes both power generation infrastructure and evacuation facilities.

The latest order highlights continued demand for utility-scale solar projects and associated infrastructure as India expands its renewable energy capacity. Turnkey EPC contracts remain a key growth area for renewable energy companies, enabling clients to engage a single contractor for end-to-end project delivery.

Waaree Renewable Technologies has been actively involved in the execution of solar EPC projects across the country, catering to both public and private sector clients. The company's order book includes projects of varying capacities, covering ground-mounted and other solar installations.

The award of this project adds to the company's ongoing portfolio of renewable energy developments and supports its focus on delivering integrated solar solutions, including generation and evacuation infrastructure, within defined timelines.
