NITI Aayog has said it is working with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and National Highways Logistics Management Limited to revise and update the model concession agreement for multimodal logistics parks, with the aim of improving project viability and implementation. In its Annual Report 2025-26, the policy think tank stated that the revised framework is intended to enhance the bankability and bid attractiveness of logistics infrastructure projects. NITI Aayog also disclosed its involvement in railway station redevelopment projects in Vijayawada and the preparation of a public-private partnership framework for integrated sports stadium developments. The initiatives form part of broader efforts to strengthen infrastructure delivery models through private sector participation across transport, logistics and urban infrastructure segments.Read more

Warehousing and industrial real estate platform Welspun One has signed a Letter of Intent with state-owned Balmer Lawrie & Co to sublease nearly 65,000 sq ft of Grade A+ warehousing space at WTC Nhava Sheva in the JNPA special economic zone near Mumbai. The agreement marks the first partnership between Welspun One and a central public sector undertaking across its portfolio. The facility is expected to become operational by early 2027 and will support Balmer Lawrie’s expansion into SEZ warehousing and port-linked logistics operations while strengthening its existing logistics and freight handling network at JNPA.Read more

Hong Kong-based Crown Worldwide Group has expanded its India operations with the launch of a new logistics and records management facility in Coimbatore. Spread across 4.5 acres, the development will support storage, digitalisation and corporate asset management services for businesses across South India. The company said the project has an initial storage capacity of more than 468,000 Standard Carton Equivalents, with plans for future expansion. The facility will also support Crown Relocations and Crown Workspace operations. Crown Worldwide highlighted India as one of its fastest-growing markets, driven by rising demand for secure and scalable information management infrastructure.Read more

The National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) is progressing the development of the Multi Modal Logistics Hub and Multi Modal Transport Hub project in Dadri, Greater Noida, under the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme. The integrated infrastructure project in Uttar Pradesh spans more than 1,200 acres and includes logistics, warehousing and passenger transit infrastructure linked to the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors. The project involves an estimated development cost of around INR 4,034 crore and carries projected investment potential of approximately INR 1.15 lakh crore. Officials stated that the development is expected to support freight movement, industrial activity and multimodal connectivity in western Uttar Pradesh and the National Capital Region. The project includes a dry port, warehousing facilities, container handling infrastructure and an integrated transport hub connected to rail, metro and road networks near Boraki railway station in Greater Noida.Read more

Celcius Logistics and Ottobock India have opened a dedicated warehousing facility in Thane to support the storage and distribution of prosthetics and specialised medical devices across India. The 3,000 sq ft facility at Wagle Estate has been developed to manage over 2,000 stock keeping units and serve 24 clinics along with more than 200 independent partners. Under a five-year agreement, Celcius Logistics will manage warehousing and transportation operations for Ottobock India. The companies said the partnership aims to strengthen supply-chain reliability for critical healthcare products while improving delivery efficiency and inventory management. The warehouse also includes temperature-controlled storage infrastructure, and capacity is expected to be expanded by 25% over the next year.Read more
