The work had been stalled since early February due to the Kolkata Police not issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for cordoning off a section of the busy EM Bypass. A meeting involving Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL), Metro Railway, Kolkata Police, and state officials resolved the matter. With the clearance in place, the last 366-meter stretch of the viaduct will be constructed, and girder-launching is scheduled for two weekends in November.Read more
